NEWS RELEASE FOR THE Rexburg Tabernacle Chamber Orchestra Concert, Tuesday, April 29, 7:30 pm, Romance Theater, Main Street, Rexburg. Free of charge
Musicians of the Rexburg Tabernacle Orchestra will divide into small ensembles to present an evening of chamber music on Tuesday, April 29, 7:30 pm in the Romance Theater, a change of venue from their usual Tabernacle concerts. There is no charge to attend.
“This will be a lovely program of experienced musicians who have enjoyed rehearsing and performing together in these smaller groups, from the wind and brass numbers to a larger string ensemble playing the Tchaikowsky Serenade for Strings. There will be a mother and two daughters string ensemble that will be a particular delight”, says Richard Ferguson, concertmaster of the organization.
A quartet of French horns will be participating, a wind ensemble, consisting of clarinets and flutes; and the Yellowstone Brass Quintet will add to a special evening of music to educate and enrich concert-goers.
The Rexburg Tabernacle Orchestra is an all-volunteer community orchestra in its 22nd season of performing three concerts each year with its members who are highly trained and experienced musicians, professionals and educators. The City of Rexburg and Rexburg Cultural Arts are sponsors of this unique orchestra.
